Attach to an individual resource




If you don't want to sign in to Azure, you can also attach to an individual storage account or service with Azure Explorer. To do this, you need to follow these steps:


  • Click the Connect button on the left panel of the app.



  • Select the Use a connection string or a shared access signature URI option.



  • Enter the connection string or the shared access signature (SAS) URI of the storage account or service you want to connect to. You can get these from the Azure portal or from the storage account owner.



  • Click Next and enter a display name for the resource.



  • Click Connect.



After attaching, you can see the resource under the Local & Attached node on the left panel. You can also attach to a Data Lake Storage account or a managed disk using their respective URIs.
